DesignWorks Drafting uses AEC Collaboration bundle pack, which includes AutoCAD, Advance Steel (3D Modeling Software), Revit, ReCap, and more.  Autodesk's AutoCAD software has been the leading software for drafting for the past 30 years!  In the past 15 years BIM technology has been taking the led in the drafting world due to it's many benefits.  Advance Steel is similar to other popular software such as, Tekla or SDS/2, however it offer more flexibility and customization to get what you need faster.  Advance Steel has been growing rapidly in the BIM world as it transfers files seamlessly with Revit, Navisworks, and all other Autodesk products, which most A/E designers use. We use Bluebeam for all of our PDF needs and can collaborate in Studio. Rest assure, your project is being detailed with the very best software and a very experience detailer. We do not outsource our detailing. 

 

With all that software and experience your probably wondering, "how much is this going to cost me"?  Well, that's the best part!  Our rates are much lower than your local drafting company and cheaper than having an in-house drafter! After the economic pitfall of 2007, it became pretty obvious that everyone is cutting back as much as possible in order to land that next project - so, we followed suit by cutting down on overhead, which allows us to pass down those savings on to you. Experience and knowledge equals speed and accuracy, so your project will be done efficiently. This is truly the biggest cost savings that we pass along to you.

Over the past decade we have included the use of point-clouds within our models. 3D image scans are very helpful to assure accuracy and to visually see how everything will fit; end customers really like seeing this.

 

We can produce all your necessary file types for your software like Tekla EPM or FabTrol, and shop machinery files such as NC1, DXF, IFC, DWG, KSS, NWC, STP, and much more. We've worked with customers that have Python-X or Peddihaus beamlines, Messer Plasma Tables, Bend-Tech Dragon, Virtek Projection Systems, and many other CNC machinery.
